ImmersiaTV gaining presence in the media

Virtual Reality and immersive experiences is a media hype, and ImmersiaTV, right after a few months of its kick-off is receiving also the media attention. For instance, a few weeks ago iMinds’ reseracher Phillippe Bekaert, was interviewed by De Standaard to explain his experience recording 360º videos. ImmersiaTV was also mentioned in the Belgian newspaper ‚De Morgen’. The newspaper article questions whether there is a future for virtual reality in journalism. In the article, Wendy Van den Broeck (iMinds-SMIT, VUB) talks about the first WP2 outcome of the ImmersiaTV project that focused on user requirements. She explains that there is indeed a potential for immersive TV experiences.
